Calendars
- added a Community Meetings calendar. This used to be part of the Decisions module but is now separate. It can optionally store agendas from the Decisions module.
- jobs can now be configured for most calendars in Edit Site->Calendars->->jobs. This is similar to jobs on the Common Meals calendar where people can sign up for jobs for a particular event. Examples: a "cleaner" job for guest room calendars that can be emailed reminders, "facilitator" and "note taker" jobs for a community meetings calendar.
- a "potluck" checkbox has been added to the Common Meals calendar. Previously the code would check for the word "potluck" in the "menu" field but that wasn't obvious and was potentially confusing.
Email
- an HTML template is being developed for email messages. Currently it's only used for the monthly statement emails from the Accounting module. Soon it will apply to all emails sent from the site. Feedback and suggestsions are welcome concerning the design. Currently there is a footer with the Mosiac logo. If there is interest, support can be added for custom headers and footers tailored for each community.
- the "send_email_when_someone_comments_on_my_posts" setting has been removed. Now, emails are sent automatically to everyone who is participating in a conversation (e.g. commenting on a post) when a new comment is added. Please let us know if members request to have this setting back or if there is interest in a "mute" ability for particular conversations.
- admins now have a "send reset email" button for passwords when editing people. This sends an email to the member which contains a link they can use to change their username and/or password if they've forgotten their credentials.
Groups
- requests have been added as a new tab option for groups. Turn them on with the "..." button on a group's page. Users can add requests for the group, then group members can discuss via comments. The record can be kept or deleted when completed.
People
- a new card view has been added to the people page, similar to the one for Households. This view is easier to view on smaller devices such as phones.
Accounting
- a "View" button has been added to Export Transactions for times when you want to see the transactions without downloading a csv file.
Minutes
- the Minutes list now shows "posted by"
Signing on to the site
- options and restrictions have been added to increase the safety of the site due to user password choices. e.g. passwords can no longer be the same as usernames or email addresses. passwords can also be required to contain certain types of characters and be at least 8 characters long.
- support for two-factor authentication (2fa) has been added. If turned on, users will need to use an authentication app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, et al on their phones in order to sign on. Note: if "stay signed in on this device" is checked, then after signing in and completing the 2fa, the user won't have to do 2fa again until they "sign out" of the site.
